These slides show an installation view of a welded steel arrow, which aims at a large solid steel sculpture. The arrows flashing lights are controlled by a microprocessor, which allows the marquee to present varying patterns of chasing and blinking. The steel object's components were torch and saw cut, and bear the marks of the processes that formed them. The arrow adjusts the role of the steel object, relegating my own sculpture to the status of a used car or drive-in movie.
